To insure local fire departments have a ready supply of the two most commonly used foams, Shipman’s maintains a large stock of AR-AFFF Universal Gold 1%/3% and Knockdown Class “A” Foam concentrates in 5-gallon pails and 55-gallon drums.
Universal Gold AR-AFFF 1%/3% is the foam concentrate standard used in Connecticut’s seven (7) Foam Trailers that are strategically stationed at host fire departments to respond to emergencies resulting from releases, spills or fires of chemicals, hazardous waste, petroleum products or other hazardous materials.
